Pallas-Yllästunturi National Park

Breathe the world's purest air and experience the vastness of the fell landscapes around you. The northern gate to the national park is in Hetta. The park’s trails will take you through incredible nature throughout the year.

The diverse landscapes of Pallas-Yllästunturi National Park will have you reaching for your camera at every corner. There is no shortage of campfire spots or wilderness huts. A vast network of ski tracks spans the park in wintertime.

The park greets nearly 500 000 visitors every year. The park offers experiences for the whole family, from first-time hikers to seasoned experts. Depending on the season, the trails are suitable for hiking, mountain biking, trail running, skiing and snowshoeing.

There are about 350 km of marked summer trails and more than 500 km of ski routes. There are 18 marked nature trails that range from 1 to 17 km, four long hikes from 50 to 72 km and the network of Fell Lapland trails. Several roads from different directions make for easy access.
