Hunting

The people and nature of Enontekiö are inseparable. Part of their livelihood comes from nature, just as it did thousands of years ago. Come join the hunt!

When you’re stalking prey, work and other trivialities tend to fall out of your mind. Enontekiö has vast, challenging hunting grounds that stretch from the forestlands to the open fells.

You can inquire about hunting permits at Fell Lapland Visitor Centre. A yearly quota of grouse permits is reserved for visitors.

An easy way to explore the grounds is to join a guided hunting trip. An experienced guide is sure to teach you a thing or two about the wilderness and local game, whether you’re a beginner or an experienced hunter.

Do remember

Remember, the wilderness is like home to the local people. We welcome guests – as long as they behave themselves.
