Equipped with a map and compass, you can conquer the lowlandsand fells just as easily as the serene forests. Gliding snowshoes make the descents even more fun!<\/strong><\/p>\n

You can snowshoe in nature throughout the winter, usually from late October until late May. The prime season is in March and April.<\/strong> . You can use summer hiking trails and other paths on your journeys. Many will take you to a wilderness hut<\/strong>, where you can sit down by the stove, dry off your clothes and have a hot beverage. Do bring the map and compass though, as trail markers might be buried under the snow.<\/strong><\/p>\n
