Kilpisjärvi Visitor Centre

Kilpisjärvi Visitor Centre serves outdoorspeople, travellers, fishers and Nordkalott hikers.

In Kilpisjärvi Visitor Centre you can learn about Malla Strict Nature Reserve, the Kilpisjärvi region, the nature reserves on Saana, the Nordkalott Trail and Arctic Wilderness Area, services in Sweden and Norway, fishing and services from their partners.

Their permanent exhibition, On the Edge of the Caledonides, tells you more about Malla Strict Nature Reserve, the nature reserves on Saana, Arctic Lapland Wilderness Area and the people of Kilpisjärvi.

You can buy maps of the Käsivarsi wilderness as well as nearby regions in Sweden and Norway, books, local handicrafts and other souvenirs. You can also get information about free and open huts and reservable wilderness huts in the area, make reservations and pick up keys, and obtain fishing permits and snowmobile track permits.

Open during tourist seasons. Free entry.
